Waffle Iron in Prescott

I strongly recommend this little gem. The service and food was perfect. Great environment, with alot of history all over the walls. My wife and I went about 7 am on the Saturday morning of our anniversary, we wanted to beat the crowd, and we did. 😁

Super fast, super good pre-work breakfast. Beats drive through any day!

I have been coming to Waffle Iron for years now and I enjoy going every time. They are quick to seat me and the service in fantastic! The syrup selection and quality for pancakes, waffles and French toast is second to none! I love coming here and I also love it as a local business!

Cute little and quite historic place (including history plaque outside, see photo) that has been here for 30 years serving breakfast. Cook has been here for 28 of those years! Get basic 2 eggs and meat, potatoes and toast - including coffee for as little as 6.85. This is the place you'll find the locals on their way to work, jovially cracking wise with each other and taking about the weather and the news. Really pleasant and friendly staff who call you by name when you walk in the door and just want you to have a nice day. Decorated with memorabilia from years past, including a picture of Elvis. Great stop to get your morning vittles!

I will be honest- I have not, and will not eat here. I called at 11:30am and the lady who answered was very short and rude, told me they are busy, and hung up. Obviously I won't be attempting to get a table.

My husband and I love to support local business as they are what makes our community. ❤ However, we were very disappointed. If you want light cheese, you will get none. The hot skillet will be lukewarm at best and greesey. The waffles, which would be assumed to be the best part of the resturaunt were a let down. They were flavoreless and the only fresh fruit they have are bananas... Summing it up, it feels as if the majority of the food is frozen or microwaved, the only thing alive and fresh are the numerous flies. (There were 5 on the mirror right next to our table.) This resturaunt looks tired and worn out. The staff I'm sure work hard, but they do reflect the outlook of the building as well. This resturaunt use to be the "best breakfast" in 2008, but it is still living in that history and has unfortunately fallen far from that statement.

Great old fashioned breakfast and lunch place. Food is good and the service is homestyle. Be sure you get there before they close at 1 PM.

I had bacon and eggs with hash browns and toast, and my girlfriend had a waffle. Everything was delicious. The waffles are light and fluffy. It's like eating dessert for breakfast!

Biscuits and gravy was dry could taste the flour, the server was rude and said I ask for to much when i asked if she had a differant kind of creamer

We came into eat and nobody told us they were closing soon, so we sat and eat during our time eating the staff started to vacuum and the staff in the back were YELLING "everybody in town knows we close at this time , tell to hurry" so I stopped eating half way through the meal and paid and left. It was so rude and unprofessional for the back of house staff to do.. other then that the food was pretty good, front of house staff came across as "friendly". But I will not be back.

My mom and I drive 1 hour every weekend just to have their delicious breakfast.. What I love is they are consistantly delicious every single time.. 5 stars way way up

The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that the staff do not wear the mask. The food was amazing. Unfortunately, it was too late when we noticed the kitchen staff weren’t wearing the mask and food was already prepare. We address our concerns about it and they were so nice to pack our food to go and seat us on a bench outside. The waitress also brought our beverage and was nice the whole time.

Best breakfast I've ever had in my life! Sorry mom. I tried the bacon waffles with warm cinnamon apples, and real maple syrup, along with the biscuits and gravy (my bf and I shared). We can't stop thinking about this place and our waitress was amazing, super nice and genuine.

My waitress was pleasant. Restaurant seemed clean. Food was good, but my bacon wasn’t cooked to order, and when they recooked it it was really overdone, but I had plenty to eat. They have REAL maple syrup which is wonderful. There was an uncomfortable moment when an argument broke out in the kitchen between a cook and a waitress over who could make decisions.... Guess they ironed it out, because it only lasted 60 seconds. THEY DO NOT TAKE AMEX which is a negative as a consumer. Future breakfast stops in Prescott won’t include the Waffle Iron simply for that reason.

Great place! We showed up with a group of 12, had to sit in different booths but that’s ok. The staff looked a bit shocked when we walked in but they accommodated us perfectly!! Great staff!! Food was delicious!! The cashier was a bit sassy but I think and hope it was an act!! Will be going back!

Yummy yummy yummy. This is a wonderful cozy old fashioned diner with amazing coffee, great food and fabulous service!!! I’ve been here 3 times this month (any time I’m in Prescott early enough). I live about an hour away and this is the only place I think of when I want to go out for breakfast! Everything on the menu I’ve tried is great, you can’t go wrong here!

I went there today with my family as we are visting from Phoenix. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. I order the benedict, and the ham was sweet just right and the eggs and the sauce were good.Unfortunately, I am taking a star away because the staff was not wearing masks. I would recommend take out.As our courtesy to Prescott people we were wearing masks, as the pandemic is hitting hard here in Phoenix. I know two who have died of it here. Please take this seriously.

Wife and I went there this AM for breakfast. After reading reviews we thought it won’t be good,WRONG. I had Ham Steak and eggs, not what ordered but that is what I was served, Ham Steak was thick with cooking grease I had to use my napkin to blot it up so I could eat the piece of meat. One of the serving staff watched me do it said nothing and did nothing. Biscuits and gravy, we both had that. Terrible, gummy and could taste the flour. Never again. Overall Staff was friendly for 8AM ish.

if going to prescott you have to go here as they have great homemade biscuits and gravy as well as other great foods.

Came here with a friend for breakfast and this is a great place to experience local culture as well as a great meal. This place is a little outdated and doesn’t have anything over the top which robs it of a 5th star but I will definitely be back here in the future. I recommend the berry waffles.
